This book is especially written for those who can understand that beer and the kitchen go hand in hand. Forget wine-marinades, sauces and other wine related talk. Forget that on every even slightly formal event you must serve the drink of Dionysus. The following pages will teach you the complete opposite. Clear the table from Cabernet Francs and Sauvignon Blancs and replace them with porters and lagers.

Between these pages you’ll find lots of colourful recipes and thrilling tastes which are all more or less made with beer. All of the recipes come from the minds and kitchens of professional chefs. Many of the dishes also have a special beer pairing recommendation. In addition you’ll find pages that are completely dedicated to teaching you how to orientate in the beer world more skillfully to help you understand the taste-qualities of different beer-types and tell the difference between them based on taste and aroma.

In order to actually enable you to thoroughly enjoy food and beer, we’ve dedicated a few pages to getting a beginner chef on the right track. You’ll get an overview of the different tools needed in the kitchen, as well as a good lesson about animal carcases. In other words, you’re going to get to know your whisks from your shanks. Also you’ll find two whole pages of tips that are going to make your life in the kitchen a lot easier.
